More Details for the event: Manyara Continues

Manyara is the forthcoming album by musician Imka, released on the label Evidence of Yesterday. The Manyara recordings originated as a set of these ‘plant compositional strategies’, with the flora provoking and playing with various music devices and software. The edited recordings are then constructed into fully realized pieces, imbued with the shifting forms and sonic manipulations inspired by the effects of the plant's environment. Touch, temperature, time, and reactions to internal changes by the way of watering the plant and changing its soil type, match the personal emotions from my personal journal when my stepmother, who is a Botanist passed away from bone cancer. a dedication to Mother Earth.

Created by using biodata from plants translated into musical notes for a live audio automation performance.
This listening and sound bath event is a bridge built between nature, the listener, and the musician.
